The Psychologist: who is
The Psychologist is a practitioner of human relations. To become a psychologist you need to obtain the postgraduate degree in psychology, do a year of internship,
pass the Exam and join the Order of Psychologists.
The profession of Psychologist is regulated in Italy by Law 56/’89 in the art. 1 says: ““The profession of a Psychologist includes the use of cognitive tools and intervention for the prevention, diagnosis, activities of habilitation-rehabilitation and support in the field of psychological addressed to the person, the group, to social organisms and communities.”
The Psychologist: what does
In each context, the psychologist seeks to improve the
the ability of people to understand themselves,
enhance the resources of individual and collective, support, and
take care of individuals, families, and
organisations at different stages of their development.
The Psychologist: work tools
The main tools of the psychologist, are the observation of the
behavior and interview techniques and clinical psychological.
It also uses other specific tools, such as the tests and the
questionnaires, provided they are scientifically validated.
Who it is addressed to the Psychologist?
You can contact the Psychologist anyone feel the need of a specific intervention, psychological support or specialist advice: the person who is experiencing a situation of difficulty or discomfort, a couple in crisis, parents with special needs children (adaptation, learning, disabilities, adoption...), the school managers, entrepreneurs or companies that want to deal appropriately with the phenomena of stress, burnout, harassment...
It can also be requested the intervention of the psychologist for the training and improvement of communication, cooperation and productivity in organized groups (in the area of sports, business, community), or to encourage, through the mediation of the overcoming of situations of conflict and hostility.
